Contemporary pool terrace

The owners of this property had a beautiful pool terrace but the surrounding fencing was ugly and there was a pressing need to create more privacy without adding more height to the boundary.

We custom-designed generous planters that would be able to sustain future growth.  The fencing and planters were clad with cedar creating a sleek, contemporary back drop to the pool.  Irrigation was installed for ease of maintenance. The work was completed by the talented Landscapes of Malvern .

We asked Renson to construct an elegant pergola that incorporated electric louvres, which could be drawn back completely, tilted closed to form a water tight roof. 

Olive trees with sturdy trunks and plenty of top growth were selected to punctuate the boundary creating a cohesive atmosphere and a real sense of privacy.  Further robust drought tolerant planting was included to give structure throughout the year and plenty of colour during the season.
