Padstow Courtyard

Kilden Mor is a unique holiday property set in a stunning location.  It required a garden of a similar quality able to meet the needs of its guests. 

We used the natural slope of the land to create a garden of levels.  Linear raised borders helped to define zones such as jacuzzi, lounge, dining, showering, utility etc.  Porcelain paving from London Stone was used on the high traffic areas.  Further away from the house an informal feel was created using a mix of gravel and paving with creeping plants in between.

The long planters were filled with a predominantly evergreen mediterranean mix of herbs and perennials, selected for their robust drought tolerance.  Around the jacuzzi and dining area a lusher planting was used to give an almost tropical feel.

Sail shades by Freeman Sails were used to shelter the dining space and lighting was installed so that the garden became an atmospheric night time venue.
